Psychedelic Panther Festival 2022 at Main At South Side. It was an absolute honor to be included in the first annual Psychedelic Panther Festival in Fort Worth Texas at M.A.S.S . In this episode we experiment with a new recording environment. Carefully positioned between a loud generator and a crowd of very talkative event patrons, we attempt to conduct multiple recordings with musicians in between sets. Hopefully the ambient noise isn't too annoying for the listeners. All things considered this was an incredible event. Joe Guzman did an excellent job putting together this festival with the help of Fort Worths artistic community. The turn out was far greater than anyone had anticipated and buy any metric Psycadelic Panther knocked it out of the park! A very sincere thank you to everyone that contributed to the success of this event. A special thank you to Ryan Higgs (Managing Partner) and the rest of the awesome staff at Main At South Side. Thank you to all of the wonderful vendors and the badass musicians that made this festival so well known to the public at large. Thank you to Jessica Waffles and Rene Gomez for covering the event so that we have a little more leverage for next years event. AND THANK YOU!!! To those of you in attendance, none of this would have been possible without the overwhelming support we received from the community. On a personal note: Thank you to Matthew Broyles, Trista Morris, and Joe Guzman for starting the conversation that got the Fort Worth Roots Podcast involved with this festival. Ryan Higgs, thank you for providing us with space at M.A.S.S so that we could interact with the public and be part of this badass event!!! After the lengthy intro our first segment is with our good friend and multiple repeat guest Lucas Peterson. Lucas made a cross country drive just to make it to this event and help out with this unique experience. Thank you homie! Segment two is with Jeffrey Chase Friedman who plays guitar and vocals for the local Fort Worth band "Uncle Toasty" as well as drums for "Mean Motor Scooter". Find information about this guest at : uncletoasty.bandcamp.com and on Facebook @yourtoast . Catch Jeffery with Uncle Toasty at Three Links in Deep Ellum, Thursday at 8pm July 14th. Segment three is with the two geniuses behind the mind blowing center stage art work and projection mapping visuals for the festival. John Thummel and James Benjamin Maker are a powerful pair of creators that really turned the stage into a place of magic and science. We will be adding a web site here for these guys as soon as they get theirs finalized. You guys made this event even more successful with your art. The panther head became a battle flag for us all. THANK YOU!!! Segment four is with our friend and creator of the Psychedelic Panther Festival Mr. Joe Guzman. Hard core dreamers with a strong sense of community are the ones that make awesome things like this possible. We need more people like you Joe!! Congratulations on the incredible success of year one. Cameron, Thomas, John, and Cole sit down ...and stand...one of them sat on the ground. We need more chairs for the next event. These guys were hilarious and light hearted and just fun to be around. They dominated on the outside stage right before this recording. Guys thank yall for your time. Looking forward to having yall on for a full episode in the near future.
